Character
I am sure all of us at some point have been in a situation where someone talks about our character.
I am also sure many of us have wondered what is exactly meant by the word, character.
Character is defined as the following:
1) The combination of mental characteristics and behavior that distinguishes a person or group.
2) Public estimation of someone; reputation.
3) Moral strength; integrity.
Each and everyday, there is some perception about a person's character.
The decisions we make or how we approach a situation creates an image, whether it is true or false, what the person represents.
Today, take some time to reflect on who you are; how do you define your own character?
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – Mark Twain
Remember, people are generally judged by their actions. The phrase "Make a good first impression"
has validity. As men especially, there are always preset expectations of how we will react in any given situation, whether or not that is a true representation of who we are.
Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are. – Dale Carnegie
